Studio Sessions

One-on-one support for artists seeking feedback, guidance, and momentum in their creative practice.

What are Studio Sessions?

Sometimes all it takes is another set of eyes.

A thoughtful question.

A conversation that helps you see the work differently.

Whether you're just beginning your creative journey or have been making art for years, Studio Sessions offer dedicated one-on-one support tailored to where you are and what you need most right now.

These sessions are not traditional art lessons. While technical questions are welcome, the focus is on helping you better understand your work, strengthen your creative process, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Together we'll explore the work in front of you and discover what it may be asking for next.

What Can We Work On?

Every artist arrives with different questions, goals, and challenges.

You might bring:

  • A painting or project that feels stuck

  • Questions about composition, color, mark-making, or process

  • A body of work you'd like feedback on

  • Creative blocks or uncertainty

  • A desire to paint more intuitively

  • Questions about abstraction and personal expression

  • Developing confidence in your artistic decisions

  • Learning to move through the messy middle of a painting

  • Finding ways to incorporate emotion, memory, or personal experience into your work

  • Professional practice questions related to exhibitions, artist statements, portfolios, or pricing

Sessions are tailored to your individual goals and can be as practical, exploratory, or reflective as needed.

My Approach

My approach is rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and helping artists develop greater trust in themselves and their work.

Rather than focusing on formulas or step-by-step methods, I encourage artists to pay attention to recurring themes, intuitive impulses, emotional connections, and the visual language already emerging within their practice.

I believe meaningful work often develops through exploration rather than certainty.

The goal is not to paint like me.

The goal is to become more fully yourself in your work.
