Studio Weather Mentorship
One-on-one mentorship for visual artists seeking greater clarity, direction, and connection to their creative practice.
What is Studio Weather Mentorship?
Sometimes the challenge isn't making the work.
It's understanding it.
You may have a studio full of paintings, photographs, sculptures, or mixed media pieces and still find yourself asking:
Where is this work going?
What am I really exploring?
Why do I keep returning to the same themes?
How do I trust my intuition more?
How do I move through creative uncertainty without constantly starting over?
How do I build a body of work rather than a collection of individual pieces?
These are the kinds of questions Studio Weather Mentorship was created to explore.
This three-month, one-on-one mentorship is designed for visual artists seeking greater clarity, confidence, and direction in their work. Through thoughtful conversation, critique, reflection, and professional guidance, we'll work together to uncover the deeper patterns already present within your practice and build a stronger foundation from them.
The goal is not to become a different artist.
The goal is to become more fully the artist you already are.
Who This Mentorship Is For?
Studio Weather Mentorship is designed for emerging and mid-career visual artists working in any medium.
You may be:
Feeling creatively stuck or uncertain about your next steps
Struggling to find your artistic voice
Developing a new body of work
Returning to your practice after time away
Working through a period of transition
Seeking greater confidence in your creative decisions
Looking for thoughtful critique and honest feedback
Trying to build a more sustainable and intentional creative practice
Whether you are a painter, photographer, ceramic artist, fiber artist, mixed media artist, or work across multiple disciplines, the focus is not on medium. The focus is on developing a deeper relationship with your work and your practice.
What We’ll Explore Together
Every artist arrives with different goals, questions, and challenges. While each mentorship is tailored to the individual artist, our work together may include:
-
Clarifying the themes, questions, and ideas driving your work.
-
Exploring recurring marks, forms, materials, colors, symbols, and patterns that make your work uniquely yours.
-
Developing confidence in your creative instincts and learning to work with uncertainty rather than against it.
-
Learning how to stay with a painting or project through the uncomfortable stages where meaningful discoveries often occur.
-
Discussing portfolios, artist statements, pricing, exhibitions, submissions, and professional opportunities when relevant.

A Note About Mentorship
This is not a painting lesson.
It is not business coaching.
It is not a formula for success.
It is a space for thoughtful artists who want to better understand their work, trust their process, and build a more meaningful and sustainable creative practice.
For over twenty years, I have built my own practice through periods of uncertainty, transition, experimentation, success, failure, reinvention, and growth. I know how difficult it can be to navigate those seasons alone.
Studio Weather Mentorship offers a space to explore those questions together.
