Abstract Landscape Commissions
Commission an Abstract Landscape
A place remembered. A feeling carried. An atmosphere made visible.
A commissioned abstract landscape is an opportunity to create a deeply personal work of art inspired by a place, memory, or experience that holds meaning for you.
Perhaps it's the changing light of a familiar coastline, the atmosphere of a place you return to in memory, or simply a feeling you want to live with.
Through color, movement, and intuitive gesture, I translate these impressions into an original painting that evokes the experience of a place rather than depicting it literally.
Each commission is developed through conversation and created in my own artistic language, allowing the finished painting to remain both personally meaningful and distinctly original.
Commissions are accepted on a limited basis, depending on my studio schedule.
How the process
works
-
We'll begin by discussing the place, memory, atmosphere, or experience you'd like the painting to evoke.
You may share photographs, colors, personal references, or simply describe the feeling you're hoping to capture. We'll also discuss the size of the painting, placement, and anticipated timeline.
These references serve as a starting point rather than a blueprint. The finished painting will develop through my intuitive process.
-
Once we've agreed on the details, a 50% nonrefundable deposit secures your commission and allows me to begin.
As the painting develops, I'll share progress photographs at key stages, giving you an opportunity to see the work as it unfolds.
Your commission includes up to two rounds of reasonable revisions. These may involve adjustments to color, atmosphere, or particular elements of the composition while preserving the integrity of my artistic process.
-
Once the painting is complete, I'll share final photographs for your approval.
After approval, the remaining balance is due before delivery or shipping.
Additional revisions or substantial changes beyond the agreed-upon direction may incur an additional fee, which we'll discuss before any further work begins.
Commission timelines vary depending on size and studio availability. Most paintings take several weeks from deposit to completion.
An Original Artistic Interpretation
Every commissioned painting is an original work created through my established artistic process.
I don't create literal landscape reproductions, portraits, copies of previous paintings, or artwork designed to match a room's décor exactly.
Instead, we begin with the atmosphere, memory, colors, or emotional qualities that matter to you and allow those ideas to become something new.
The result is a painting that holds a personal connection while remaining an authentic expression of my artistic practice.

Begin a Commission
Every commission begins with a conversation.
Whether you're drawn to the atmosphere of a particular place, a meaningful memory, or a feeling you can't quite put into words, commissioning a painting begins with a conversation.
