As Long As It Takes
When you body tells you that it's time to rest, that you have overdone it, but you didn't heed the warning signs. It's so frustrating as you want to do all the things but at the same time, rest is valuable. We need it. We deserve it. And we should rest before our body/mind decides to do it for us. This painting took as long as it takes - slowly, gently, and quietly - not forcing myself to keep going if my body didn't want to.
